The Voyage Of The Martin Connor (1931)

In 1931, Teague provided color illustrations for The Voyage Of The Martin Connor, written by Oswald Kendall and published by Houghton Mifflin.  Originally published in 1916 as The Romance Of The Martin Connor, the book chronicles the adventures of Captain Hawks and crew as they steam aboard the Martin Connor from Galveston to tributaries of the Amazon on a sketchy conveyance job for the Rio Maranon Rubber Company.  George Varian illustrated the 1916 book.  The 1931 version contains both Teague’s color illustrations and Varian’s pen illustrations.  Teague’s contributions to the 1931 edition are presented below.  My copy of the book has some wear so please forgive a couple of the images!
