During 1946 to 1948, Teague produced a number of wonderful illustrations in addition to the Sweet Water series. As in prior years, most of Teague’s Collier’s assignments were westerns during this period, and many pushed the boundary between illustration and fine art. Noteworthy illustrations from this period include The Hard Decision, The Counselor, Sweet Beulah Land, Fever, and On Bakeoven Grade. Below is a representative sample of Teague’s work for Collier’s during this period. Story text has been omitted for a cleaner presentation.
