Collier's (1942-45)

After Action By Night, Teague continued to work for Collier’s under the Edwin Dawes pseudonym.  During the next few years he produced a number of noteworthy illustrations as Dawes, to include The Colonel’s Choice, Tavern At Powell’s Ferry (the vignette is outstanding), Yellow Color Suit, and Heaven Like A Tent.  Below is a representative sample of illustrations that Teague created for Collier’s during 1942 to 1945.  A shift toward westerns is evident.  Story text has been omitted for a cleaner presentation.
