Oliver Twist (1926)

Teague’s second book illustration assignment came in 1926, again with Minton, Balch & Co.  This time the subject was Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens.  Originally published in the late 1830’s, Oliver Twist follows the difficult life of the titular orphan from an orphanage through life on the street to a happier resolution.  All of Teague’s illustrations for Twist are presented below.
