The Saturday Evening Post (1927-30)

Teague’s workload for The Post picked up during 1927-29, when he averaged 13 assignments per year.  As The Great Depression set in, The Post decided to cut Teague (and other illustrators) loose in 1930, in order to concentrate work for a reduced stable of illustrators.  Teague had two assignments for The Post in 1930, and would not illustrate for that magazine again until 1937.  Below is a goodly sample of oil work from this period.  Story text has been removed for a cleaner presentation.
